French Army Infantry

The French Army of 1940 was one of the largest in the world, fielding millions of soldiers equipped with capable if sometimes dated weaponry. Despite the rapid defeat in the Battle of France, French troops fought with determination in many engagements, and Free French forces continued the fight throughout the rest of the war.

This versatile plastic box allows you to assemble the miniatures as regular French Army infantry, fortress troops, chasseurs, engineers or colonial troops including Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian forces. Weapons include the MAS-36 rifle, FM 24/29 light machine gun, MAS-38 submachine gun and pistols. Headgear includes the Adrian helmet and side cap.
